A new blog, a new start....

I have had a blog for years, jessicabblack.blogspot.com, but with a lot of life changes in the past few years, I decided that it was time to retire the old blog, and start a new one. A new one for us, our family. I love keeping a blog, not only to be able to update family and friends on our current events, but for myself. I love to be able to look back and read it, like a journal, a scrapbook of sorts.

So starting today, with the first post on the new blog, I will do a short entry on "us" since I haven't blogged in about a year.

I am now married to the most amazing man, Kurt. He is what some would call, made special for me. i couldn't think of anything I would change about him. We have been married a little over a year and am loving every minute of it. I now understand what marriage is supposed to be like. how fun it can be, and how special it really is. Being married to my best friend, has been the greatest blessing I could ever ask for. I have experienced so much with Kurt in the past 3 years of being together. There is no one on this Earth that I would rather spend my time with. Between the two of us, we have 4 children. Kaden 16, Kelsey 13, Kamryn 9, and Troy 6. Everyday is a new experience and a new lesson learned. Being a combined family has its ups and downs, but I love every minute of it.  Kaden is always a joy to be around. He is always keeping us on our toes. Kelsey is a sweetheart and too pretty for her own good. . Being said, a teenage girl is a whole new experience for me, one that I thought I would have years to prepare for....I was wrong. I will now go ahead and apologize for anything I ever did that made my parents hair turn grey. I dread the day Kamryn is mine for the repaying. Kamryn is my angel, my first baby. She is growing to fast right before my eyes. It amazes me how beautiful she gets more and more everyday. Troy is complete entertainment. he makes me laugh on a daily basis and is full of little boy logic that i love to share with people. So without further hesitation, and to stop the rambling, here is our blog. Our life. Three plus three.

  4. Aren't teenagers just SO MUCH FUN???? LOL I'm so glad I have someone I'm close (and my age) to who has to mother a teenager everyday like me! Remember all the crap we did together as teenagers? All those crazy trips to the lake and Hawaiian punch highs in the tent??? How many grey hairs do you think we gave our parents?? lol Too many, I'm sure!

  5. We had so much fun though. I am sure if our kids could have seen us back then, they would die. We were pretty awsome. lol Mothering a teenager is quite a journey. Glad at least I know you are going through it too! Remeber driving around in your car blasting the radio with rage against the macheine?? So funny were those days! And how we were alowed to drive to salt lake beats me! That may have caused some grey hairs there!
